7th arrondissement — Bamako

The 7th arrondissement has no counterpart among Bamako's six former communes. It was created by the law of 13 March 2023 on the district's special status, whose annex places in it, among others, Kalabancoro and Kabala.
Since 2023: the 7th arrondissement
Law no. 2023-005 of 13 March 2023 on the special status of the Bamako district divides the district into seven arrondissements (article 3). Its annex places the 7 neighbourhoods and villages below in the 7th arrondissement. According to the national statistics institute (INSTAT), the arrondissement has 468,915 inhabitants in 2023 (projections based on the 2022 census).
