- Home to Modibo Keïta International Airport, Mali's main airport, opened to traffic in 1974.
- The new 15,000 m² terminal was inaugurated in 2016, under the management of Aéroports du Mali (ADM).
- The airport was renamed in honor of former president Modibo Keïta in December 2015, after previously being known as Bamako-Sénou Airport.
- Hosts one of Commune VI's four sub-offices (sous-mairies), alongside Magnambougou, Banankabougou, and Faladié.
